The experience was great. If you want to have a look to the review we wrote on the BBC Mundo site go to : http://www.bbc.co.uk/mundo/ciencia_tecnologia/2010/03/100319_bbc_conversacion_global.shtml

It's in Spanish, but anyone can use the translator to read it. It works!!!

Even our editors posted an entry on their blog about that: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/mundo/blog_de_los_editores/2010/03/no_habla_ingles_que_importa.html

    Mr. Chin,

I am a member of a small church in the US, but we have several Spanish speaking members who have a difficult time understanding our English service. We have used a human translator who uses a wireless headphones system to speak to the members of the church. However the translator is not always available.

After watching the Google I/O presentation on 5-20-10, it appears that Google is closer than ever to providing accurate real-time translations.

Our church, and I am sure other churches, would benefit from the ability to take a feed from the PA system, send live audio to Google, translate it, and have translated speech come back. Even if the translation simply came back as a text feed that could be fed to a video projector to provide real-time translation would be helpful.

Thank you to Google for all your hard work on this project!

    Craig
